Universal Wrecking Corp. Completes Large Scrap Metal Recycling Project

Universal Wrecking Corp. was tasked with scrap metal processing of 172 semi-trailers at a clients facility. Cutting and salvaging of these trailers produced over 300,000 lbs of aluminum, 950,000 lbs of scrap steel and 117,000 lbs of scrap rubber tires.

All tires were shredded and sent offsite to a cement processing plant that used them as a fuel derivative. No materials were sent offsite for disposal (100% recycling project)

All oils and hydraulic oils were collected and placed into 55 drums for disposal by the client.

Universal Wrecking Corp. also completed the final grading and restoration of area.

The client was paid over $250,000 for the scrap metal and was extremely pleased with the quality of work.

DURATION: 8 weeks

A Cat 330L Excavator with a LaBounty MSD 70 Shear attachment
A Cat 320L Excavator with a LaBounty grapple
A bobcat skid steer 843
Various support equipment
6 employees consisting of operators and laborers
