Universal Wrecking Corp., a premier demolition, scrap metal recycling and wrecking contractor that operates on a nationwide basis, was recently awarded the next phase of the demolition of a large manufacturing and warehousing facility in Pennsylvania. After a major fire severely damaged a large section of this one million square foot facility, Universal Wrecking Corp. (UWC) was awarded the first phase of the project which was to perform emergency demolition services. UWC was contracted to remove the collapsed bays of the building and clean up the fire damaged debris and steel members. UWC utilized surgical demolition techniques to cut away the damaged sections from sections the Client’s engineer deemed to be structurally sound.
